IFMIF-DONES is presented in one of the plenary sessions at the International Conference on Renewable Energies and Power Quality

Granada hosted one of the top-level conferences in electricity production, renewable energy, and other fields related to electrical engineering last 2nd to 4th of September

The IFMIF-DONES Project was presented last September 3 in one of the plenary sessions at the International Conference on Renewable Energies and Power Quality (ICREPQ´20), a top-level conference in electricity production, renewable energy, and other fields related to electrical engineering. The event took place in Granada between the 2nd and 4th of September, with the attendance of the Director of the IFMIF-DONES Implementation Office of the University of Granada, Antonio Peña, who presented the particle accelerator project.

The plenary session ‘IFMIF-DONES: a key milestone in the long path to Nuclear Fusion’ was prepared by Professor Peña and the Technical Director of the IFMIF-DONES Project, Ángel Ibarra. The presentation focused on the need to make progress on nuclear fusion and explained the latest advances in the implementation of this large scientific infrastructure.

This activity contributes to make IFMIF-DONES known in all sectors, including other scientific communities related to fusion, one of the specific objectives of the DONES Preparatory Phase project (DONES-PreP), funded by the European Commission with €4 million.
